Iconic Entrepreneur "Nipsey Hussle" Slain in Los Angeles

Is was broad daylight in the middle of a beautiful afternoon on March 31st, 2019, when rising business mogul & Grammy-nominated recording artist, Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom, was fatally gunned down in the parking lot of his strip mall on the well-known intersection of Crenshaw and Slauson, in his hometown of Los Angeles, California. Also wounded in the shooting were two other individuals who's identities have not yet been released. Nipsey was reportedly shot 6 times, one being to the head.

Little is publicly known about the assailant nor the motive of the attack, however many controversial rumors flooded the internet immediately after the news broke. Mainstream media including TMZ, have been unsurprisingly quick to label the shooting as a gang-related incident. The fact is that though some parties may have been at affiliated with local street gangs, the attack reeked of something much more similar to that of an orchestrated mob hit.

Nipsey Hussle was know to the world as a talented lyrical artist that painted vivid pictures of a struggling individual dedicated towards creating a better life for his family. Along the way, he ultimately created opportunities for his entire community by creating and improving businesses in the neighborhood he grew up in. His inspirational work ethic and commitment towards improving the world around him earned him a wealth of respect that transcended all barriers and color lines.

At the time of his death, the world would agree that Nipsey had just scratched the surface of what was looking to be an unforgettable legacy. This horrible tragedy took place only weeks after Nipsey received his very first Grammy nomination of his debut album, "Victory Lap". The business savvy Hussle also recently signed an endorsement and partnership deal with Puma and was featured in a stunning multi-page spread in GQ Magazine with his gorgeous fiance, actress, Lauren London.

Since the attack, people from far and wide have come to gather at the scene to mourn and pay their respects. Many celebrities and and other notables have turned to social media to express their pain and condolences to his friends and family.

With so many gathered in the Crenshaw and Slauson area, we would like everyone to remain vigilant and safe in the times ahead.
